Amber Brkich – Winner of Survivor: All-Stars

Amber is obviously most known for her relationship and now marriage with Boston Rob. The two formed an alliance on Day 1 of Survivor: All-Stars and here we are nearly two decades later and they’re married with four daughters. Where did the time go?

Anyway, it’s sad that people discount Amber’s win. Yes, Rob made a lot of the moves that season, but Amber knew what she was doing, folks. She aligned with Rob, let him be mean and nasty to people while she sat back, was kind to everyone, and still made it to the end.

Amber’s toughest moment in the game was when the tribe swap occurred with 10 people left and in an odd turn of events, she was the only person NOT to switch tribes while everyone else flipped tribes. That left her as the only original Chapera member while old Mogo Mogo players joined her.

This obviously put Amber in a bad spot, but she was able to save herself by pleading her case to Kathy and making a deal with her and Lex. Rob had also famously protected Amber too with his conversation that he had with Lex after the challenge, and we saw how that went later on, as Rob took out Lex and Kathy back-to-back.

While all of this backstabbing went on, Amber let Rob be the bad guy. She knew he was going to take her to the end and therefore she made it a point to be polite to people because at the end of the day, who wants to give a million dollars to a jerk? That was definitely something to take into effect in the older seasons of the show and Amber won the season in a 4-3 vote.

On the Winners at War finale, Jeff asked Amber why she participated and she said she did it for Rob. It broke my heart when she said no one really viewed her as a deserving winner because that’s simply not true. She might not have played a cutthroat game like her soon-to-be husband did, but she treated people with respect and people remembered that when it mattered the most.

When it comes down to it, Amber won the first ever All-Stars season and that shouldn’t go unnoticed. She deserved this win, so be nice to Amber.
