10. Sandra Diaz-Twine

Second season: Heroes vs Villains

Sandra won her first season and returned 13 seasons later for Heroes vs Villains, where she was placed on the Villains tribe. Despite going against Russell the entire time, she was “carried” to the end by him and that didn’t end well for Russell.

It ended great for Sandra though, as she became the show’s first ever two-time winner. She held the title of the only two-time winner until Winners at War, but she’s still the queen of Survivor and she earned that title because of her second chance season. Not many would have pegged Sandra to hold that title, but here we are.

Sandra doesn’t get a third and fourth shot at Survivor without her second appearance going as well as it did, so that’s why she definitely earned her spot on this list.

9. Sophie Clarke

Second season: Winners at War

Sophie won South Pacific because she stayed true to her alliance and also because Coach didn’t own his game to the jury. She is an underrated winner and we got to see how good of a player she is when she returned for Winners at War.

Several Winners at War contestants stated after the season aired that Sophie was the favorite to win it all after the merge. She had an idol, a close ally in Sarah, and a seemingly loyal alliance. If Tony didn’t take her out when he did, she likely goes on to win the game or at least comes close to winning the game.

Even though that didn’t happen, Sophie showed she can play Survivor and that her win in South Pacific wasn’t a fluke. If she returned for a third time, she’d be a much bigger target coming out of the gate because of her performance in Winners at War.
