Most Invisible Survivor Contestants – – Number 22: Erik, Caramoan (15)

Survivor: Caramoan was a weird season. Production waited five years to do a second Fans vs Favorites, but the cast they picked for the second installment was very blah. A cool story was that Erik Reichenbach, who played on the original Fans vs Favorites as a fan, was now returning as a favorite.

With that storyline and the fact that he’s gone down in Survivor history with one of the dumbest moves ever (giving individual immunity to Natalie, which Jeff Probst STILL talks about every day), you’d think Erik would have gotten a big edit in Caramoan. Well, you would be incorrect, as he had just 15 confessionals despite finishing in FIFTH PLACE.

He only had three confessionals through the first three episodes and was just another person on the island. He added very little to the season, especially in the pre-merge portion. He did have nine confessionals over his final four episodes but didn’t get one in the episode in which he was medically evacuated in. Sheesh.

Erik deserved better in Caramoan. Actually, a lot of those contestants did, but that’s what happens when you cast people who are about as exciting as watching paint dry.
