Most Invisible Survivor Contestants – – Number 18: Natalie, Redemption Island (14)

Natalie Tenerelli finished Survivor: Redemption Island in third place, but was largely ignored for most of the season. A big reason as to why this was the case is that the contestants on Redemption Island were there to help Boston Rob win his first season.

Natalie was the biggest proof of this, never making any kind of strategic moves during her time in the game. A lot of the Ometepe contestants were just numbers and didn’t have a lot to offer other than helping lift Rob to his first victory.

Rob finished the season with 97 confessionals while poor Natalie had just 14 all season long. You mean to tell me production couldn’t have taken 10 confessionals from Rob and given them to the season’s bronze finisher? These could have just been Natalie gushing about how great Rob is, but they’d still have counted as screen time for her. Production could have slept easy.

The numbers are even worse for Natalie considering that 10 of those 14 confessionals came in the final three episodes. That’s right — She had FOUR total confessionals for the first 11 episodes and went six straight episodes not having any. I understand that Redemption Island was Rob’s season, but Natalie deserved more than just 14 confessionals. Phillip’s feather got more air time than Natalie did.
