Survivor Season 41 week 3 preview
By Ricky Frech
With Survivor season 41 episode 2 firmly in the rearview, it’s time to look ahead to episode 3. Last week, we saw David Voce get blindsided by his fellow Yase tribemates and it looks like another person from his tribe might be following him out of the door. But first, let’s check in on Ua beach.
The preview for this week begins with Brad Reese and Shantel “Shan” Smith celebrating together and Brad saying he “loves all the twists.” Brad was shown to be in a bad position last week, so this could be the shot in the arm his game needed. If he’s found the Beware advantage, that could be huge for his game. This also further confirms that Shan is well-insulated in the Ua tribe and likely isn’t going home if that tribe goes to tribal council this week.
Next, we skip to Yase beach where Liana Wallace is seen talking to Evvie Jagoda and Tiffany Seely in the B-roll. We hear her mentioning something about being “right there” and saying that she might have made a “million-dollar mistake.” The editors did a great job of hiding the edit in last week’s promo, so we’re thinking this is another swerve and Liana won’t be in much trouble, but we’ve been wrong before. Maybe Xander Hastings will add to his bag of advantages at Liana’s expense.
We also see Jairus “JD” Robinson and Ricard Foye looking for the idol on Ua beach. To us, this signifies that JD might be in trouble since he’s the one actively talking about wanting to find the idol. We’re still more worried about Brad’s chances if Ua goes to tribal, but it’s worth keeping an eye on JD.
In the longer preview of this scene that CBS uploaded to YouTube, we hear much more about the idol hunt at Ua beach. It appears that JD has some type of map to the idol in this scene, but hasn’t found the Beward advantage that likely goes along with it. In turn, he talks about all four of his tribemates also looking for the idol; however, we don’t really get a clue toward if someone has actually found it or not. Maybe this is a further clue to Brad having the idol since he’s the only one mentioned as not really actively looking for it? We’ll find out for sure on Wednesday.
The teaser preview ends with Sydney Segal talking about being scared while we see footage that seems to hint toward a medivac. However, with the scene being very mysterious, that could just be reading too much into it. Either way, we hope to finally get some drama out of that Luvu tribe. They’ve been riding too high with all of their winning through the first two episodes.
