Best Survivor Winners No. 32: Aras Baskauskas (Survivor Panama)
Aras is in an odd place. Introduced to viewers in a season with the strategic mastermind of Cirie Fields and the challenge powerhouse of Terry Deitz, Aras had a winning smile and ability to whip the votes in his favor necessary to get him deep in Survivor Panama.
He’s not a necessarily bad winner, but he was placed in a favorable position to win by elements outside of his wishes and control.
He was hamstrung by Terry’s winning streak but played into Cirie’s hands by voting out two goats in order to please her interests.
He voted to keep Cirie in, and a fire-making challenge plus a final immunity challenge that Terry doesn’t win separated Cirie from the money in a landslide over him.
Weirdly, despite having the choice who to sit with at the Final Tribal Council, whomever Danielle chose to sit with would win against her.
That’s just how the dice are rolled based on who’s on the jury and who’s left in the game.
