Best Survivor Winners No. 22: Chris Daugherty (Survivor Vanuatu)

Chris may have performed one of the greatest heists in Survivor history with his come-from-behind victory in Survivor Vanuatu. Part of a minority alliance that got picked apart piece by piece, vote by vote, Chris Daugherty is the only winner to receive votes at the very first tribal council and go on to win.

In a season that started off as women vs. men, the women dominated most of the game with a strong alliance. At the final seven, Chris was the only man standing. He not only survived to the final tribal council but won with a prominently-female jury.

As his alliance was slowly destroyed and he was left as the only male in the game versus the six women, Chris needed to manipulate and work his way into the finals.

Winning three of the Final Four individual immunity challenges, he voted out his sister-like friend in Julie Berry and trained his Final Two competitor, Twila, not to be apologetic for their actions.

Instead of following suit, Chris churned out one of the greatest final tribal council performances in history, winning 5-2 in a season divided by gender lines with five women on the jury that were mostly out of his control. It was nothing short of miraculous.
