Best Survivor Winners No. 18: Tina Wesson (Survivor: The Australian Outback)

An underrated factor in Tina Wesson’s ability to win was the fact that she is the only one to do so over the course of 42 days. Not only that, but Tina brought about change to the game of Survivor as close to Richard Hatch as possible in the second season of the show’s existence, providing cunning gameplay while providing a soft, motherly outward approach.

While everyone remembers Hatch for his contributions to the game, remember that Tina Wesson sent most of her targets home, including one person of her alliance.

Going back on an alliance was as new a thing as creating an alliance, and she was able to work Colby Donaldson over to convince him to bring her over an easier competitor.

She was the first female winner ever, as well as the first winner never to receive a vote against her or win an individual immunity challenge on the way to victory.

Her victory proved that you can be a nice person that has a bit of deception seep through and that you don’t have to be the ringmaster in order to win.
