Survivor All-Stars, in many ways, wasn’t about the winner, but about the journey Boston Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich took together in finding true love.
Regardless of the entertainment factor involved, they showed that a power couple was capable of going far into a game, if not winning it all.
Amber Brkich has not been placed this low on the Survivor winners list because she was an unlikeable player dragged to the end as a goat.
On the contrary; she won because she knew how to give one hell of a final tribal council speech that tapped into the sensibilities of the jury presented in front of her.
At the time, Boston Rob managed to backstab, manipulate and control the game to an absurd degree, albeit in a way that did not go over with the majority of the jury.
More important to Amber was the love she found on that island, and her repeated insistence that she was lucky to make it to the final tribal council in the first place.
