Best Survivor Winners No. 15: Tyson Apostol (Survivor Blood vs. Water)

Participating in the first-ever Blood vs. Water season meant essentially being throwing into the middle of a mid-life crisis of an experiment. Ten seasoned Survivor players brought their loved ones in hopes of competing with them; instead, they ended up having to face them in two tribes.

He was very close to subbing in for his voted-out girlfriend in a Redemption Island challenge, instead vowing to make it to the end to make her sacrifice worth it.

Facing tribal council just once on the way to the merge, Tyson took control of the game when he blindsided Aras, following up with votes for his brother, Vytas, and Australian Outback winner Tina Wesson.

Tyson Apostol put himself in a strong position early enough in the merge despite the added emotional baggage that comes with a season like this.

Despite being more strategic in his approach this season, Tyson remained as affable as ever, cracking wise like no other has produced. His core sub-alliance remained loyal to him, he controlled the fate of others as well as anyone else could, and he won individual immunity twice in a row at a stage where he absolutely needed to win.
