Best Survivor Winners No. 42: Bob Crowley (Survivor Gabon)
The oldest Survivor winner happens to be one of the least well-regarded winners. That’s not to say that we hate Bob Crowley, as he was one of the few to embrace the mean, jovial and strategic aspects of gameplay on Survivor Gabon. He even won the Sprint Player of the Season award!
It’s just that beyond his fake idol game, he almost blew it all in a dreadful final tribal council performance.
Jury management was not his forte, as he was very wary of being negative of Sugar when explicitly asked to do so, and was confronted by Randy for creating the fake idol.
He barely won in a 4-3 vote over a contestant many on the island considered to be annoying, showing that he just happened to be in the right place at the right time over the course of 39 days.
Plenty of players performed better than he did; he just happened to be lucky enough to make it to the end.
