Best Survivor Winners No. 39: Michele Fitzgerald (Survivor Kaoh Rong)

Depending on who you ask, the jury for Survivor Kaoh Rong had an interesting view on who should have won that season.

We’ve since learned that Julia and Scot were never going to vote for second-place finisher, Aubry Bracco, after mishandling a vote that ultimately served them at that moment less than halfway through the game.

There’s no doubt that Michele Fitzgerald earned her win as she made social connections with the members of the jury despite voting out three of the four jury members who voted for her.

She won two crucial immunity challenges, including the one that ultimately kept her in the game.

She just had so many things break right for her on her behalf, not based on gameplay input. Two times she avoided going to tribal council because members of Aubry’s alliance were medically evacuated.

It took until Day 22 until she made her first trip to tribal council. She had, perhaps, as little control over the game of any other winner (save one).
