For years, fans have clamoured to hear more about their favourite Survivor players and their journeys on the show. Through interviews, podcasts, articles, and social media, we have gained insight into what Survivor players experienced before, during, and after their time on the show. Still, nothing is as profound as a book or a memoir when it comes to getting to know a person.
Surprisingly, not many players have written books about Survivor and their game-related experiences. Either due to non-disclosure agreements or personal reasons, only a few people have released a book since being on Survivor. First, it was Survivor: The Australian Outback winner Tina Wesson with her memoir, Out Live, Out Laugh, Out Love, published in 2006, where she writes more about her life and her faith than about Survivor (due to contractual limitations).
Later, in 2013, Rob "Boston Rob" Mariano published his memoir, The Boston Rob Rulebook: Strategies for Life, where Rob writes in detail about how Survivor is ingrained in his life, mainly as he met his wife, Amber Mariano, back in Survivor: All-Stars, and now have four daughters. Additionally, Rob shares a list of life lessons he has learned over the years, which have greatly benefited him in both his public and personal life.
Also, Survivor host Jeff Probst co-authored a fiction book series, which tells the story of four kids left stranded on an island. Sound familiar? These books are "Stranded," "Trial by Fire," and "Survivors," all published in 2013.
It wasn't until recently that more Survivor alums have decided to venture into the publishing world. Here are four upcoming books written by former Survivor players that any fan should watch out for:

1. Parvati Shallow
Parvati Shallow, a legendary multi-time Survivor player, founder of the Black Widow Brigade alliance, and winner of Survivor: Micronesia, will release her memoir, Nice Girls Don't Win: How I Burned It All Down to Claim My Power, on July 8, 2025. In her book, Parvati discusses being thrust into stardom at the age of 25 after winning her second season, and how every moment, both on and off the show, was scrutinised to death by fans, critics, and everyone in between.
While dealing with the Survivor aftermath, Parvati was also dealing with several events from her past that had ultimately shaped her path at that point, causing her to face her demons head-on in the public eye. Throughout the pages of her book, Parvati also explores themes related to her sexuality, her past marriage to former Survivor player Jon Fincher, co-parenting, and other aspects of her life, while sharing the lessons she has learned along the way.

2. Stephen Fishbach
Stephen Fishbach is a two-time Survivor player, having appeared on Survivor: Tocantins and Survivor: Cambodia. Stephen is well-known in the Survivor community for being sharp, quick-witted, and an excellent narrator, as well as for his recaps and in-depth analysis of Survivor on social media.
Stephen will release his upcoming book, Escape!: A Novel, on January 27th, 2026. While not a memoir, Stephen's book will still be related somewhat to the Survivor world, as the premise of his book is the following: "A propulsive debut novel following a has-been reality TV star and a disgraced producer who get one last shot at redemption on a show set on a remote island, only to discover that the plot twists are beyond what they ever imagined."

3. Erik Reichenbach
Another two-time Survivor player joins this book list, this time with Erik Reichenbach. Erik competed on Survivor: Micronesia and later, in Survivor: Caramoan, where his experiences throughout the games were anything but calm.
Erik is well-known for his controversial decision in handing out his individual immunity necklace to ally Natalie Bolton, after being manipulated by the Black Widow Brigade alliance into thinking this was his best move to remain longer in the game. Unfortunately for Erik, his decision was met with swift retaliation from the BWB, and he was voted out as the last man in his season. His second run was less chaotic, but unfortunately, it was cut short when Erik had to be medevaced, finishing up once again in 5th place.
During an interview with fellow Survivor player Brandon Donlon for RHAP, Erik revealed that he was working on his memoir, which will detail numerous Survivor-related details, including his complete perspective on the infamous Micronesia moment. Erik reveals during his talk with Brandon that he's been writing this book for three years, but has been thinking about it for over twelve. While there isn't an official release date yet, Erik's book will undoubtedly reveal much more than meets the eye when it comes to his life and overall Survivor experience.

4. Katurah Topps
Katurah Topps is the most recent Survivor player on this list, and she is also the only Survivor player from the New Era, having been cast on Survivor 45 just two years ago. Katurah was a force to be reckoned with during her season, not only for her feud with Bruce Perreault, but also due to her strategy-driven game. However, Katurah's chances of being at the Final Tribal Council were cut short on day 25, and she ultimately became the last jury member of her season.
In an interview for RHAP for "The Pride Has Spoken" segment, Katurah appeared alongside Survivor 45 player Sabiyah Broderick, where they both revealed they had been in a relationship for months before deciding to reveal it to the public. Both women talked about their experiences on the show, getting to know each other after the season ended, and later decided to begin dating as their connection became undeniable.
Towards the end of their interview, Katurah revealed she was currently working on her memoir and already has a book deal with McMillan Publishers. While Katurah shared some details about her life on Survivor, including growing up in a cult, being a child bride, and eventually becoming a civil rights lawyer, much more will be revealed once Katurah's book is released next year. Katurah also commented on how Sabiyah has been by her side every step of the way since they began dating.
