Christian Hubicki is about to get his revenge on Jimmy Fallon for Survivor 50 twist

Christian Hubicki, the latest eliminated player from Survivor 50, is about to meet his not-long rival Jimmy Fallon tonight on the latter’s The Tonight Show.

Survivor 50 has had plenty of drama so far, both on and off the season. As with any returning season, the season’s cast has had its fair share of tumultuous times between each other, but now a new rivalry has emerged between a recently eliminated player and a person who, unknowingly or not, has just become an enemy of plenty of Survivor fans.

The latest tea is, of course, between Christian Hubicki, the fourth jury member, and none other than Jimmy Fallon, the late-night host of The Tonight Show, due to the latter’s “interference” in a twist that cemented Hubicki’s fate in the game.

On their official Instagram page, The Tonight Show uploaded a story about the fact that Hubicki would appear on the show alongside Fallon to discuss Survivor 50 and their brewing “feud.” While Hubicki is well-known for being levelheaded and Fallon is a known prankster, it is sufficient to say that their discussion might end up being filled with jokes and a handshake rather than a full-on confrontation.

I would be remiss to say that while a fight is very unlikely to happen, it would be highly entertaining to see Hubicki vent his frustration against this twist to its namesake and perhaps even jab the Survivor production along the way. Regardless of what ultimately happens, I think every Survivor fan won’t want to miss whatever happens in the end, especially as Hubicki is a fan favorite player that was eliminated too soon.

As viewers saw during Season 50’s ninth episode on April 22, 2026, Hubicki went on a Journey where he had to overcome a challenge puzzle to cast a vote against one of his fellow competitors before the next Tribal Council, but if he failed to do the challenge in the allotted time, Hubicki’s vote would then have to be against himself. Hubicki tragically lost the challenge and ended up making US Survivor history.

The first self-vote in worldwide Survivor history occurred back in 2002, when contestant Lucinda Allen-Rhodes voted for herself during the inaugural season of Australian Survivor. However, as Hubicki has now become the first person in the US Survivor format to do so, fans aren’t happy, to say the least, particularly after Hubicki was forced to reveal this information to his tribemates before Tribal Council.

As we all know, information is power on Survivor. Every sliver of gossip, hard facts, and even hearsay can be what ultimately makes or breaks anyone's game, as sometimes there are too many unknown variables to consider when voting someone out.

While Hubicki’s chances of remaining in the game were already scarce after he told Cirie Fields he wanted to target Ozzy Lusth (aka one of Fields’s husbands), perhaps Hubicki could’ve still managed to outmaneuver the upcoming vote had he had the chance to bluff his way out. Alas, everyone knew there was already a vote against Hubicki, plus with Fields and her allies rallying the vote against him, Hubicki had to bid adieu to the game and became the latest juror.

How does this mess then tie back to Jimmy Fallon? Well, as we all saw last night, too, during the immunity challenge, Survivor host Jeff Probst revealed to the players that Fallon had spearheaded this advantage. Hubicki then publicly went against this twist at Tribal Council in Probst’s presence, to which the host only came back with an okay after Hubicki’s speech.

During some exit interviews, for instance, with Mark Bloom for Parade, Hubicki was asked what his feelings were regarding the twist and the late-night nost himself. Hubicki joked he was open to an apology, especially since he was presently in New York City, where Fallon is as well, but it turns out Hubicki’s presence in NYC was also due to another reason.

The Tonight Show airs on weekdays at 11:35p.m. ET/10:35p.m. CT on NBC. Also, don't miss the next episodes of Survivor 50, which airs on Wednesdays, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
