It's been close to a month since Survivor 50 wrapped and while we still have more than half a year to go before the premiere, we officially have our first taste of what's in store for the anniversary season!
In an exclusive interview with E! News, Survivor icon Cirie Fields shared a few thoughts on the season without giving too much away. We obviously didn't find out who won or what fan-voted elements made it into the game, but the 5-time player did note, "I can tell you one thing about season 50, and I haven't said this about any other season."
"Best season ever," Cirie revealed of the upcoming 50th season. "Best. Not just because I was there. Best. Season. Ever."
Of course, we know Cirie to be more than just a player. She's the original Survivor fan who got up off the couch and applied to be on the show.
"I've watched since Richard Hatch [won season one]. I'm a fan as well as a contestant."
So for her to declare Survivor 50 to be the best season ever is a pretty tall order, especially considering how many incredible gameplay moments she's been a part of over the 5 seasons she's been on the show.

Back in Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites, Cirie co-orchestrated what's still considered to this day to be one of the best blindsides in Survivor history when she convinced Erik Reichenbach to give up his immunity necklace at Final Five. And don't forget she was also a key player in sending Ozzy Lusth—who's also competing in Survivor 50—home with an idol in his pocket that very same season.
Then in Survivor: Game Changers, Cirie was the victim of the most iconic Tribal Council in the show's history when, in a never-before-seen occurrence, she somehow ended up the only player who wasn't immune. By default, she was eliminated from the game. And the most insane part? Not only were none of the votes that night for her; she hadn't been voted for a single time the entire season.
And at that historic Tribal Council, host Jeff Probst asked Cirie how many days of Survivor she had played at that point, to which she replied, "not enough." It's very powerful to know that she's gotten not only another chance to finish her Survivor journey, but it's on a season that she's truly excited for the fans to experience. We can't wait to see what's in store!
