How many players have made it to the end more than once?

Not including the upcoming51st and 52nd seasons(which have wrapped, but neither of which has aired yet), there have been 751 castaways that have taken on the challenge ofSurvivor. 120 of them have competed in more than one season, but only 10 of those returning players (8.3%) have played hard enough to get the opportunity to plead their case at Final Tribal Council twice.

When talking about theSurvivorMt. Rushmore, this is definitely where you’ll find a lot of the contenders (and the four most referenced names when asked who the best players are). Of course, when you have a season likeWinners at War, you’re automatically going to add the Final Three to this list because everyone who competed on season 40 previously won.

But still, it’s very impressive to outlast once (less than 10% of everyone who’s ever played has made it to the end), let alone twice. So let’s give them their dues!

Sandra Diaz-Twine

Survivor: Pearl Islands&Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains

Not only did Sandra make it to the end twice, she won twice! The first person ever to do so. Her patented tactic of “anyone but me” helped her secure her place at Final Tribal Council on both her first season as well as her second. So of course, the two other times she returned, our castaways figured out that she needed to go sooner rather than later, or else she’d likely make it to the end—and win—again.

Boston Rob Mariano

Survivor: All Stars&Survivor: Redemption Island

On his second chance at the game, Rob made it to the end and didn’t win the $1 million, but what he took away was much more priceless to him—a future wife of 20+ years. But then it wasn’t until his fourth season that he found a path to the end, this time doing anything it took to claim the title of Sole Survivor…which he did.

Amanda Kimmel

Survivor: China&Survivor: Micronesia

Not only was Amand the first player to make it to the end twice, she’s also the first place to make it to the end on back-to-back seasons. Her first foray intoSurvivorcame during season 15, but it wasn’t until season 16 that she truly proved herself to be the strategic threat she is. Unfortunately, two seasons in a row, there was someone sitting next to her that was just slightly better at charming the jury, so she’s also only one of three players who has made it to the end twice, but never won.

Parvati Shallow

Survivor: Micronesia&Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains

After winning season 16, Parvati returned for her third go-around and proved alongside Sandra and Russell Hantz that villains always win in the end when the three helped defeat everyone labeled a “hero” and make sure three “villains” were sitting at Final Tribal Council—all three of whom had previously sat in that exact same spot on the most previous season they played on.

Survivor: Samoa&Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains

Russell was the second player (first man) to make it to the end on back-to-back seasons. And of course on his second chance he sat next to two iconic previous winners who he had no chance of beating. So you can now find him in the non-winners club with Amanda, but I don’t think most fans have a problem with that. Especially considering when he returned forRedemption Island, the tribe of non-returning players he was placed on basically booed when he arrived.

Survivor: Cagayan&Survivor: Winners at War

The second two-time winner (and first man to claim that title) had to wait until his third time playing the game before he was able to claim another seat at Final Tribal Council after winning his first season. And like I said before, we knew the three finalists ofWinners at Warwould make this list, but that doesn’t make his trip to the end (and ultimate win) any less impressive.

Natalie Anderson

Survivor: San Juan del Sur&Survivor: Winners at War

After taking home the win in the last all-women Final Three for 20 seasons, Natalie won her way back intoWinners at Warafter being the first players voted out. She spent her time on the Edge of Extinction earning fire tokens to get enough advantages to help her secure a spot back in the game after the second re-entry challenge. She also went on to win individual immunity at the exact right time to guarantee herself a spot at the end, proving that she will do whatever it takes to make it to the end every time.

Michele Fitzgerald

Survivor: Kaoh Rong&Survivor: Winners at War

While Michele received some criticism after winningKaoh Rong, there’s no doubt that she played an incredible social game. And she came back forWinners at Warto prove that outlasting everyone on her first season wasn’t just luck, it was based on a strategic social perspective that she created again in her returning season, scoring her spot, once again, at the end.

Aubry Bracco

Survivor: Kaoh Rong&Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans

Ten years after Aubry made it to the Final Three on her first season, she finally played her best game and made it to the very end by being crowned the Sole Survivor of season 50. With two seasons of gameplay between her finalist seasons, she proved that she is a force to reckon with and finally plotted out the perfect game that she knew would get her a win in the end.

Joe Hunter

Survivor 48&Survivor 50

The only new era player to join this list—so far—he also managed to place third on both of the seasons he’s played on, which, again, not an easy thing to do. While he didn’t receive any jury votes on his second season, and only received one on his first, he was a challenge beast and great social player who found the right people to play beside, guaranteeing him a spot at Final Tribal Council.
