When CBS first announced the cast of Survivor 50 in late May 2025, the network surprised fans when it revealed that the cast of its historic season would include two players from Survivor 49. As the season had not yet aired, CBS kept the identity of the two players hidden from fans so as not to spoil season 49 before it aired.
It was a smart and understandable move, as revealing the names of the two Survivor 49 players selected to compete in the milestone season would have been a big spoiler. This is Survivor 50 we’re talking about, and securing a place in the cast would require these two players to make a notable first impression on host Jeff Probst and the producers.
In fact, this is something Probst directly commented on ahead of the season, telling Parade in an exclusive interview that the producers did not go into Survivor 49 planning to select two players for the season 50 cast. It just so happened that there were two players who really surprised them and made big enough impressions to land them a place in the Survivor 50 cast.
“What we agreed to as a group was, ‘If somebody makes a big impression, we’re going to want them on 50. So let’s go into 49 with our own state of flux.’ And what happened was two players impressed us,” Probst teased.
Perhaps it’s of little surprise now that the season has drawn to a close, to learn that the two Survivor 49 players appearing in the season 50 cast are both from the Final 5.
Who from Survivor 49 will be on Survivor 50?
Rounding out the cast of Survivor’s biggest season yet and representing Survivor 49 in the milestone season are Rizo Velovic and Savannah Louie! The duo’s involvement in season 50 was first hinted at via Reddit directly after the initial cast list was announced, with insiders revealing that Rizo and Savannah were the players who caught CBS’s eye and earned a place in the Survivor 50 cast.
At the time, the pair were just names on a screen, but now that the season has actually aired, it’s not at all surprising that Rizo and Savannah impressed the producers enough to earn their places in the season 50 cast.
The pair will compete alongside some of the best to ever play the game as well as some of the most beloved and polarizing contestants going all the way back to season 1. Here’s a look at the season 50 cast in its entirety now that Rizo and Savannah have officially been confirmed for Survivor 50:
