So far on Survivor 47, one personality has dominated the game—Rome Cooney. He is outgoing, vocal, enthusiastic, a little bit annoying, and plays harder than anybody else.

Not long after hitting the beach, Rome went all out looking for an immunity idol. He found one quickly and didn't waste time pocketing it, which was good for one tribal council. He had the option to keep looking for more clues to lengthen the viability of his idol, but he chose to pocket his advantage.

During episode 3, he went on a journey and earned a steal-a-vote advantage to go with his idol. Rome has been circumspect with whom he shares his secrets, but enough people either knew about, or suspected, that he had some advantages, and he played those to the hilt.

How long can Rome survive with his all-out playing style and annoying habits?

His tribe mates, who seemed to want him gone, had to follow his lead with who he wanted out of the game. Aysha, Welch, with whom Rome had formed no connection, became the first player voted out of the Lavo tribe.

Aysha Welch was voted off in episode 3 and did an interview with TV Line afterward, in which she had some interesting things to say about Rome:

"It’s like having a roommate that is always in the living room talking as loud as possible about anything they’re doing. “I can make a grilled cheese sandwich in five seconds, I swear. I can melt the cheese faster than anybody else.” And you’re just like, “Do I wanna hear that today? No, I’m actually gonna spend the rest of the day in my room.” I will honestly say never in my life have I met someone like him. It just made it very challenging..."

If Rome is wearing on the nerves of one player, you can be sure he's wearing on the nerves of others. The problem Lavo has, if there isn't a tribe shuffle, is Rome still has his steal-a-vote advantage. He played his idol because it was only good for that tribal council but be assured he will be back in the jungle at the first opportunity. He said as much in episode 3.

At the first opportunity, Lavo will vote Rome out. He is bothersome to those around him, wanting to take on all the responsibilities around camp and then complaining about how no one is helping. These things will gnaw at his tribe mates.

A tribal shuffle would be interesting because he might not have the same advantages over a new set of players. He might also have the opportunity to start afresh with a different group. Chances are, however, his act will wear thin no matter with whom he shares a beach.

If he is going to have a chance to win Survivor 47, he is going to have to find a lot of idols and advantages and find an ally stronger than Genevieve. You never know; he just might do it.
