ThinkSurvivoris slowing down? Think again! The hit CBS reality series is picking up steam and returns for season 47 in the fall of 2024.

UPDATE:Survivor 47 premiereson Wednesday, Sept. 18!

Survivor 47is officially set to air on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT throughout the fall of 2024. CBS announced the news several weeks ago when the network rolled out itsupcoming schedule for the fall of 2024. It confirmed that news again during the CBS upfronts a week before theSurvivor 46finale.

No premiere date for Survivor 47 yet

As of theSurvivor 46finale, CBS has not officially announced theSurvivor 47premiere date yet. That will likely come later this summer as CBS locks in its schedule for scripted and reality TV series.

We can look at previous fall dates forSurvivorto predict when the next season will be released. Season 45 premiered on Sept. 27, 2023, while season 43 premiered on Sept. 21, 2022. Season 41 premiered on Sept. 22, 2021. Historically, new seasons ofSurvivorair on the third or fourth Wednesday of September.

Looking ahead to the fall of 2024, the third and fourth Wednesdays in September 2024 are Sept. 18 and Sept. 25. It seems likeSurvivor 47will premiere on one of those dates if CBS continues the same pattern of starting the season late in September.

Whenever the season begins, we'll likely see the season premiere with a two-hour episode. CBS just confirmed that the rest of the season (with the exception of the season finale) will be90-minute episodes. We know fans have loved the longer episodes, so we're especially psyched to see them continue throughout the new era ofSurvivor.

Production onSurvivor 47is starting soon, according to reports. There are already rumors about casting for season 47.

Survivoris officially renewed for season 47 and season 48. Those seasons will land in the fall and spring of 2025, respectively. There areno plans to include returning players in those seasons, according to Jeff Probst.

We've also heard a lot aboutSurvivor 50,so it's assumed that season 49 and Season 50 are already in the works. Probst recently confirmed thatSurvivor 50will feature a full cast of returning players.
