Despite changes to CBS's schedule, Survivor season 46 willl continue to air normally during March Madness 2024

Survivor season 46 is in full swing. The fourth episode of the season airs on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, which also happens to be the same day that the second First Four games of the Men's NCAA Basketball Tournament will happen.

The rest of the tournament airs on CBS, TNT, TBS, and TruTV every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through the beginning of April 2024. We have some good news for fans about the rest of the Survivor season 46 schedule.

We know fans of Survivor are always worried that March Madness games will bump the series or bring the dreaded mid-season recap episode. In years past, the tournament games have bumped episodes of Survivor or resulted in a recap episode. Luckily, that's not happening this year.

  • Episode 1 ("These Are Where Legends Are Made"): Wednesday, Feb. 28
  • Episode 2 ("Scorpio Energy"): Wednesday, March 6
  • Episode 3 ("Wackadoodles Win"): Wednesday, March 13
  • Episode 4 ("Don't Touch the Oven"): Wednesday, March 20
  • Episode 5 ("Tiki Man"): Wednesday, March 27
  • Episode 6 ("Cancel Christmas"): Wednesday, April 3
  • Episode 7: Wednesday, April 10
  • Episode 8: Wednesday, April 17
  • Episode 9: Wednesday, April 24
  • Episode 10: Wednesday, May 1
  • Episode 11: Wednesday, May 8
  • Episode 12: Wednesday, May 15
  • Episode 13: Wednesday, May 22

According to CBS's schedule, Survivor season 46 episode 5 will air at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 27. That's the normal time for the episode. There's also a new episode of Survivor scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, on CBS.

Obviously, this is great news for fans of the series. No one likes those mid-season recap episodes and absolutely no one likes to break up the momentum of a great Survivor season like season 46 by skipping a week. Luckily, March Madness runs Thursday-Sunday with games on CBS for the first two weeks. Then, the games are on Saturday-Monday for the first week of April. After that, the schedule should return to normal for the final stretch of episodes this season, which was shortened by the writers' and actors' strike.

Unfortunately, the rest of CBS's schedule is not so safe! It looks like weekly programming for the Thursdays and Fridays on CBS is going to be interrupted for the next two weeks. These shows include Bold and the Beautiful, Young and the Restless, Elsbeth, and a few others.
