Episode 6 of Survivor 47 saw an epic tribal council where one player not only had the chance to take Jeff's seat but then was blindsided in the vote. And if that's not enough, earlier in the episode we watched as that same Survivor player tried to mastermind a vote against another player while telling the viewers all about how he was running the show.

Rome Cooney had a lot to say on Survivor and he was certainly a mastermind in two tribal blindsides. So it likely comes as no surprise that when he was voted off of Survivor 47 and headed to Ponderosa, he was not greeted with open arms.

In a post vote out interview with Entertainment Weekly, Rome was asked all about that tribal council result and what it was like heading to Ponderosa. And his answers were definitely interesting.

Rome did not get a warm welcome at Ponderosa from his former tribe members

In talking about his exit from the show and not dropping any "bombs" on the game, Rome shared that his vote was really his bomb.

"I mean, pretty much the bomb that I dropped was writing down Sam's name. It's a game. I feel like a lot of people forget that I'm a gamer. I didn't know what the show was 18 months ago. I'd never heard of Survivor 18 months ago."

Honestly, the fact that Rome is saying that he never heard of Survivor before this is perhaps the biggest bomb he could have dropped on us. (Even my mother who hasn't watched TV in years has heard of this show.)

But we are here for how things went down at Ponderosa. And when he was asked about meeting up with his former tribe members, he made it clear that it was not a warm welcome at all.

"It wasn't a good one, I'll say that. I walked in and I walked downstairs and all the people were sitting at the table, and the first thing that someone says to me is Aysha says, “Well, it's about time.” And I'm like, “Wow, I'm going through this super emotional time. That's what you're going to say to me first?” I was just like, “Wow, salute to you.” It is what it is. Then I went down and I told her what happened, and I guess Aysha was a little bit confused. "

Honestly, as viewers, we aren't that surprised by this icy greeting and the way that Aysha reacted to Rome getting voted out. Considering he was a big reason that she was sent out of the game, her reaction is pretty justified. But if he hasn't seen or heard of Survivor over the years, then it makes sense that he would be surprised by people being upset with him over his gameplay.

It will be interesting to see how the game shifts now that Rome is out and the rest of the players have merged into one tribe. Who will take the lead and who will be at the bottom of the game? We'll have to wait to see!
