Survivor 47 power rankings going into the season finale

Survivor 47 has been full of blindsides, grudges, strong strategic play, and personal growth, making this one of the most entertaining seasons in recent memory.

“Operation: Italy” – Castaways get the biggest reward of the season with surprise letters from home. Then, balance and dexterity are tested at a crucial immunity challenge to guarantee a spot in the final six, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, December 4 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream on Paramount+*. 5. Sue Smey

Sue's chances aren't much higher than Teeny's. She gets a bump here because she still has her immunity idol that only Caroline Vidmar knew about. Sue's whole game revolved around protecting Caroline and Gabe Ortis. She failed miserably at this because they are both on the jury.

Sue had a chance to save Caroline at the last tribal council. In fact, she told Caroline several times that Sue would play her idol to save Caroline if there was any doubt about the vote. Sue sat like a stump throughout tribal, blissfully unaware of what was going on. While she seemed shocked at the vote, there is a possibility Sue just changed her mind to guarantee her spot in the final four.

The joke will be on her. She will make the final four because everyone wants to sit beside her at the finale. She's done nothing in the game. Unlike Teeny, who at least tried to play the game, Sue just tagged along with the stronger players in her alliance. Gabe and Caroline might throw votes her way if she makes the final three, but that is not certain.

4. Sam Phalen

Sam will need a lot of luck to win Survivor 47, but it's not impossible. He can argue that he had to play from the bottom since the merge and was adaptable enough to survive to the finals. He's been involved in enough votes throughout the game to make that case before the jury.

His biggest move, however, was really orchestrated by Andy. It was the latter's idea and execution to convince his so-called alliance of five to split their votes so Andy could flip on them and take out Caroline. Sam and Genevieve were certainly beneficiaries of Andy's plan.

Sam has done well in reward challenges, though not in those for immunity. While Teeny and others thought that Sam taking Andy and Genevieve with him on the last reward would end his game, it saved his game, and he deserves credit for that. Depending on the makeup of the final three, Sam could garner some votes from the jury based on relationships. Sierra would probably vote for him, but Teeny probably won't if she's on the jury. He's a long shot, but do not discount his chances too much.
