Survivor 48 episode 4, "The House Party's Over," is finally here! I don't know why, but it felt like such a long week after the shocking conclusion of episode 3.

In that episode, the Vula tribe lost another heartbreaking immunity challenge and went to Tribal Council to vote out one player. It was anything but straightforward. Mary Zheng saved herself with a Shot in the Dark, and then Cedrek McFadden changed his vote three times to send home his ally, Justin Pioppi. It was a truly shocking turn of events.

How does it all shake out? We're going to find out tonight!

What time is Survivor 48 on tonight?

The Survivor 48 players are switching tribes

We learned at the end of episode 3 that a tribe swap will be happening in episode 4. Earlier this week, CBS shared a sneak peek of Jeff Probst telling the players right before the immunity challenge that they will be switching tribes.

This is a huge turn of events for these players. The Vula tribe has literally been so bad at challenges, and the Lagi and Civa players are probably feeling really good -- relatively! This is still Survivor, of course! -- about their games. Well, now, that's all about to change. How it plays out could be really bad for some players and really good for others, but it's going to be a major shift for everyone three episodes into the season.

It's hard to know exactly what to expect in this episode, and that feels really exciting. Honestly, I expected the Vula tribe to lose every challenge after saw how poorly they performed, so now, this is like the beginning of the game all over again in some respects. Obviously, these players know each other a little bit by now, but the relationships and dynamics will change drastically in the next few episodes.

Episode 4 features an undercover alliance at Tribal Council

So, we know the tribe swap is the twist everyone will be talking about, but we also know that there's going to be an undercover alliance that will lead Tribal Council during this episode thanks to the synopsis from CBS.

Here's the episode 4 synopsis:

"An unexpected twist for the castaways sends the trajectory of their games into an all-new direction. An undercover alliance in the losing tribe leads to a shocking tribal council on SURVIVOR..."

We all know that the twist is the tribe swap, but the "undercover alliance" is what has me even more excited about this episode. I love a good blindside, and there have been a number of players interacting with each other on Journeys. Maybe those players will work together? Maybe players from an old tribe will pretend they aren't working together on the new tribe and take out a big threat in the game?

That's what I'm hoping for! We'll find out what's going to happen during episode 4. Watch the new episode on Wednesday, March 19, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
