Ahead of the Survivor 48 tribal merge, Charity Nelms found herself voted out of the game in episode six. And with all the survivors finally living together, how will everyone interact after that tribal council?

Back at the merge beach, Mitch is upset after Charity was voted off of Survivor. He feels like people lied to him and he knows he needs to talk to Sai to explain why he wrote her name down. He tells Sai that he didn't plan to vote for her, but everyone told him to do that, and now she wants him gone.

Then we have Cedrek trying to figure out who voted for him. We know it was Sai, but she is not going to admit that, so she hints it was probably Charity.

As a new day dawns on the island, Mitch is trying to build new connections now that Charity is gone. Part of that is talking about being a teacher and how he gave up being a mailman to better share his story. While it does seem like he makes a connection with Shauhin and Joe, they also know that he is a dangerous player because of his likeability factor.

Sai and Shauhin also have a sit down chat. He admits that he voted for her and she appreciates the honestly. But in his private interview, he admits that she is dangerous and things might have been different if they started on the same tribe. Shauhin also admits that the three players on the outs, Cedrek, Sai and Mitch all came to talk to him.

With three people on the outs, who could end up in trouble? Ultimately, the real drama comes when we learn that there will actually be two players being voted out of Survivor 48 after the immunity challenge. So will two of the three players in trouble go home, or will someone else find themselves getting the boot?

Sai is the seventh player voted out of Survivor 48

Perhaps the tribal council conversation should have been a bit of foreshadowing, as Chrissy really went hard on the idea that there comes a point in the game when we have to stop talking about playing an honest and loyal game.

When it comes time to vote, Sai has her vote blocked. You can tell she is upset, as she feels betrayed. But does blocking her vote mean she is going home? Sadly for her, it does.

It turns out that Joe really did appreciate the fact that Mitch was honest with him. And the group decided she needed to be the one heading home.

Sai is the seventh player voted out, and she does not make it to the jury. But what about the eighth player heading home?

Cedrek becomes the first Survivor 48 jury member

While the first vote read at this tribal council was for Shauhin, it seems as if the group decided not to go for the bigger threat just yet. And perhaps that makes sense at this point in the game.

Ultimately, with this decision made, Cedrek is the eighth player voted off of Survivor 48 and the first member of the jury.

But how did we get to this point for both Sai and Cedrek?

The Immunity Challenge sees the survivors take on the challenge of holding up 25% of their pre-game weight

This is an extremely important immunity challenge, as there are two immunities up for grabs. Why? That's because there will be two tribal councils and two people voted out. There is also a reward up for grabs for the members of the team where one Survivor player outlasts everyone else, including everyone from the other team.

Not only is there a peanut butter and jelly reward, but they will also go second at tribal council, which matters because whoever gets voted out in the first tribal council will miss out on being on the jury.

As soon as the challenge starts, Cedrek drops his weight. He didn't even make it a full minute. But he wasn't alone, as Star drops pretty quickly after him. And Chrissy and Sai join them. Kamilla ends up dropping right after the two ladies. And then Mary goes next.

Shauhin starts fighting for his bucket and Mitch has to do the same thing. Sadly, Shauhin can't catch the bucket as it ends up dropping. Mitch follows quickly even after a fight to save the bucket. Eva is the only woman left across the board.

We have Eva versus Joe for orange and we have David versus Kyle on the purple side. Things get fun as Shauhin starts giving us a musical sideline and we get trash talking between David and Kyle. Even Eva gets in on the back-and-forth.

Eva drops and Joe ends up winning the orange individual immunity. This leaves Joe going against the purple duo of David and Kyle. But all of a sudden Kyle drops and David wins the individual immunity. And now Joe and David are fighting for the reward against each other.

David and Joe break the record for how long they can hold their buckets smashing Gabler's 38-minute record. After a fight to get the bucket back up, Joe ends up dropping at nearly an hour. This means that the purple team, behind David, has won the reward and the chance to go to the tribal council second.

The teams split up after the immunity challenge and head to separate beaches before the two tribal councils

After the challenge, the losing team heads back to the old Civa tribe beach, and they have to go to tribal council first from that beach.

Everyone celebrating their reward looks hyped after getting to see a record being broken (and made). But, someone is still going home from this team, so that is still on people's minds.

At the Civa beach, they don't have any fire, flint or ways to really eat. So it's a scavenger hunt for food, while also planning for who might go home. Sai is trying to fight for her spot in the game and she tells Eva that she is voting for Mitch. But there are also people who want Sai to go home, including Mitch.

Back with the purple team, talk around the camp is that they want to send Cedrek home. But now Shauhin's name is being bandied about, because Kyle wants to get out the threat. And this leads to Kyle and Kamilla trying to pull David into voting Shauhin out instead of Cedrek.

The orange team is really pushing to send Mitch home. But there is also some talk about getting Sai out. And Mitch is talking about using his block-a-vote on Sai, and he tells Joe about it. Joe sounds torn between Mitch and Sai because he sees that they can both be dangerous.

Both tribal councils end in less than shocking votes

The first tribal council will see another player voted out ahead of the jury. Joe talks about the fact that at this point we are starting to see the finish line and that means remembering why everyone is playing.

Chrissy calls out the fact that people have to stop pretending like it is all about playing an honest and loyal game. And she makes it clear that right now she is loyal, but at some point she will have to turn on people.

Mitch even talks about being on the wrong side of the vote the last time, but he is trying to start over. And Joe says that it can be beneficial to connect with people who can admit they were on the wrong side of a vote. But what does this mean for who is going home?

In this case, it seems as if Chrissy was definitely offering up a case of foreshadowing, because while she may have told Sai that they were going for Mitch during tribal council, in the end that's not what happened at all. And so we have reached the end of Sai's time in the game.

The second tribal council is definitely different in feel because the person voted out here will be on the jury. At the same time, they have no idea who went home from the other group.

For this tribal council, the chat really seems focused on the jury and also the relationships people have formed. Kyle mentions that it is about long term versus short term game play and that could be problematic for Shauhin, as his name has been thrown around as a target.

The conversation at this tribal council is a bit more interesting in terms of trust, as we saw Kyle and Kamilla try to flip things to land on Shauhin. So will their big move play out, or will it be Cedrek heading home instead? It feels like there are two people on the line here, so who will be the first player on the jury for Survivor 48?

After that interesting tribal council discussion, it could have been Shauhin heading home. But in the end, it was Cedrek who became the first member of the Survivor 48 jury. And it should be interesting to see how everyone reacts when they all realize that both Cedrek and Sai are gone.
