The Survivor 48 winner has been revealed, and it's exactly who we thought it would be for the last few weeks.
Kyle Fraser is the winner of Survivor 48. He is the Sole Survivor of season 48 and the winner of $1 million.
I don't think there was a more deserving winner this season. We predicted he would before the finale. He won Survivor 48 over Joe Hunter and Eva Erickson.
After winning the immunity challenge at the Final Four, Kyle picked Joe to join him in the Final Three. He claimed he was fulfilling a promise that he had made to Joe earlier in the game, but there was more to it than that, of course. Kyle and Kamilla Karthigesu had been in lockstep as allies all game, and they both realized that they could not sit next to each other at Tribal Council, pitching their case. So, Kyle won, and he put Kamilla up against Eva in fire-making. Eva pulled out the victory, which is exactly what Kyle needed to happen.
Of course, the win was not without some uncertainty. Kyle played a really strategic and advantageous game. He wiggled out of situations thanks to some perfectly timed lies and bold moves. Then, at other times, he sat back and let others feel like they were in control. It's a big strategy because it requires a lot of explaining situations, but Kyle was able to do that. The jury listened, and he won the game.
Kyle won two immunity challenges during the season, including the most important challenge, but his resume is much more important than those challenges. He had a successful hidden immunity idol play early in the game to survive, but then he allied with the people who tried to vote him out. He was a double agent all season long, and he worked every single person in the game to the point that people trusted him blindly, even when they shouldn't have.
Most importantly, and in the big moment of Final Tribal Council, Kyle revealed that he made the biggest move of the season in taking out Shauhin Davari. He did it by lying to the other people sitting next to him, and then he dropped the hammer on them to win the game. That's why Kyle won $1 million!
There are definitely some weird moments this season that we have to talk about when it comes to editing. I feel like we didn't get the full picture, but there's no doubt that it seemed like Kyle might not win at times during this season. Even in the finale, it looked like Kyle might not win, but he played the best game.
So, that's how it all came to an end in Survivor 48!
