We're finally learning more about theSurvivor 49cast, andsome of the things we're learning, we wish didn't actually happen. For example, one of the new Survivor 49 players got hit by a car the day they were flying out to Fiji to start the game.
Jeremiah Ings revealed toEntertainment Weeklythat he thinks he will winSurvivor 49because he got hit by a car the literal day he was flying out to playSurvivor 49.
Here's what Ings told EW:
"I'm going to winSurvivor 49because the day that I was flying out, I got hit by a car."
Thankfully, Ings was okay, and he traveled out to Fiji to playSurvivor 49.Did he win? We'll find out in a few months.

Strangely, fate took another turn. The same day that he was hit by the car, Jeremiah revealed that he ran into Venus Vafa, one of the stars ofSurvivor 46.He didn't speak to Venus about being cast onSurvivor 49,but he definitely will one day if he hasn't yet!
"And I asked the universe to give me a sign, and Venus from season 46 walked right past me. I didn’t say anything because of my NDA and I wanted to say so much to her, and she looked at me with her beautiful brown eyes and I'm like, “I'm going to message you one day, but give me a little bit of time.”
So, not only did Jeremiah get hit by a car on the day he was heading out to Fiji, but he ran into a formerSurvivorplayer immediately after? People get hit by cars every day, but how many people see Venus on a given day? Probably not that many, honestly! Maybe a couple of dozen at the most? That's wild. It's too big to be a simple coincidence, you know? Like, it's theSurvivorGods letting him know that he's chosen for greatness. That's what I am going to believe anyway.
The only thing that would have been weirder was if the car had been driven by Jeff Probst or something. Jeremiah didn't say it wasn't, though, but I'm pretty sure Probst was already out in Fiji getting things ready for theSurvivor 49cast to arrive.
Earlier this week, Survivorshared the full season 49 cast. While the players aren't saying much on social media yet, I can't wait to meet players like Jeremiah, hear their stories, and watch them compete for $1 million.
According to CBS, Jeremiahwill start on the Kele tribewith five other players, including Alex Moore, Annie Davis, Sophi Balerdi, Jake Latimer, and Nicole Mazullo.
Unfortunately, we're still a few weeks away from theSurvivor 49premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 24. It's going to be really interesting to see how this season builds intoSurvivor 50.
