After a rough start in the Survivor 49 premiere, the Kele tribe made a difficult decision at Tribal Council and chose to keep their tribe "strong" in order to hopefully win future challenges.
Well now in a new clip for episode 2, "Cinema," the tribe is living with their choice and they might not be moving in the direction they were hoping to go after sending home Nicole Mazullo.
Watch a sneak peek of Survivor 49 episode 2, below.
The clip starts off with what appears to be an ocean hand stand competition between Jake Latimer and Alex Moore before moving into the jungle where Jeremiah Ing, Sophi Balerdi, and Kimberly "Annie" Davis are gathering coconuts.
While it's unclear whether Annie knows she was on the bottom last week, it seems she has put herself into a camp leadership role for Kele, instructing her tribe mates on which coconuts are most efficient to crack open. This really rubs Jeremiah the wrong way.
"Annie feels like she's controlling the game 100%. She thinks that she's calling the shots," Jeremiah starts as he goes off about how Annie is being too bossy without actually doing any work around camp. But rather than push her aside, he's using this newfound power trip as a foundation to grow her confidence even further, which, in his eyes, will make blindsiding her that much sweeter.
But what does all this mean for Kele?
Well, it actually could be positive and that added confidence of Annie's could boost the team in a challenge, potentially not sending them back to Tribal Council. Or, as I said about last episode, more bad attitudes around camp will continue to bring the Kele tribe down and lead to a losing streak and a return trip to Tribal Council.

And especially after it was made clear last episode that Jake was in charge of the Kele tribe, to have another person pushing for the leader spot might ruffle more feathers than just those of Jeremiah's that we saw in the sneak peek. But Jake still doesn't know about Alex and Annie's secret alliance, which could bring down the bromance and implode the tribe even further.
All that to say, every member of Kele appears to be a short fuse right now and even the slightest flame in episode 2 could set off a major bomb for the tribe.
We'll find out soon enough what's in store for them when the new episode of Survivor 49 airs this Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 8 pm ET on CBS and Paramount+.
