Survivor 49 is back for an all-new episode tonight!

"Lovable Losers," the third episode of the season, will air on Wednesday, Oct. 8, and it has all the makings of, potentially, the most exciting episode of the season so far.

We shared everything fans need to know about the new episode, including the "unprecedented medical emergency" that occurs during the episode.

What time is Survivor 49 episode 3?

The new episode of Survivor hits CBS and Paramount+ at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. C on Wednesday, Oct. 8. After the two-hour Survivor 49 premiere, the series returned to the 90-minute time slot in the second episode of the season. That's true for episode 3, as well, so the episode should finish around 9:30 p.m. ET.

As always, I recommend avoiding social media if you're not watching live or if you live in the West Coast. The episode will not air until 8 p.m. PT, so fans are a full three hours behind.

Survivor 49 episode 3 synopsis teases a 'medical emergency'

Cinema
“Cinema” – Reality and hunger begin to take their toll as the castaways grapple with their limited resources to find food on the island. Generational differences come into sharp focus as some castaways find it challenging to keep up with the younger players’ current lingo. Then, a never-before-seen disadvantage appears in the game during this week’s immunity challenge, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, Oct. 1 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream on Paramount+ (live

After watching the Kele tribe flounder for two episodes in a row and voting out Nicole Mazullo and Annie Davis, fans are hoping to see the Kele tribe finally get in the win column, avoid Tribal Council, and secure that coveted flint that they need to start a fire.

But, it looks like there's more adversity ahead for the tribe. In the teaser for the new episode, Jake Latimer claims to have been bitten by a snake. Then, in the synopsis for the episode, we learned that a medical emergency will occur in the episode.

Here's the full synopsis, via CBS:

"An unprecedented medical emergency leaves the castaways shaken. A second beware advantage is found in the game, and its finder must earn their vote back before it’s too late, on SURVIVOR..."

So, just putting two and two together, I'm assuming we're going to see a player get bit by a snake for the first time in Survivor history. We know Jake ends up okay, but we could be possibly looking at the first medical evacuation since Survivor 46.

Kele might actually win a challenge and avoid Tribal Council

Based on the synopsis, we're also going to be watching someone on a losing tribe find a Beware Advantage and try to get their vote back. I'm assuming that means that Kele wins immunity in this episode! They already found a Beware Advantage in the previous episode, so I have a feeling that they wouldn't find another one. But, hey, anything is possible on Survivor.

So, we'll likely be seeing Hina and Uli at Tribal Council. That's very exciting! Assuming Jake stays in the game, this might just be the thing that they need to figure things.

I'm guessing Hina is the tribe that heads to Tribal Council. That's just my prediction, though. It's hard to win as many challenges in a row as they have. They've done really well with the puzzles, but this immunity challenge, which you can see in images, is probably not going to feature a puzzle.

I also think Jason Treul's sentimental interview is also a giveaway that Hina is going to Tribal Council this episode. Survivor loves a good juxtaposition, and that's exactly what this is!

Sage targets Savannah in Survivor 49 episode 3

In the second sneak peek, Sage Ahrens-Nichols throws out Savannah Louie's name to Shannon Fairweather at the Uli tribe. We know Savannah and Shannon are close, so I have to imagine that this is not going to end well for Sage.

Right now, the majority alliance includes Rizo Velovic, Nate Moore, Shannon, and Savannah at the Uli camp. Jawan Pitts and Sage are on the outside, and Sage might have just written her own name down if Shannon goes right to Savannah, which looks likely.

Watch Survivor 49 episode 3 at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 8!
