In Survivor 50 episode 6, our players got the chance to earn an advantage before the first merge challenge. When Ozzy Lusth found it and learned he was to choose one person—he opted for Rizo Velovic—to join him on Exile Island, he thought his bad luck was continuing. Little did they know while they were strategizing away from everyone else, they were also avoiding a triple elimination twist which automatically put them on the jury.
Now, in a new clip (below), we get to see their reactions to finding out about the Blood Moon twist and how the two plan to move forward in the game with three castaways gone.
As Ozzy and Rizo arrive back at the merged beach the next morning, confusion fills their faces as they look around. Rizo goes so far as to wonder if a massacre occurred, and he’s not wrong. But that was just the beginning of them integrating back into the game. They also discover that with the triple elimination came a lot of new rivalries and heated emotions.
Specifically, Coach Wade approaches Rizo, telling him that Dee Valladares is gunning for him after her group had to choose between Coach or Colby Donaldson going home. He goes on to tell Rizo that he’s now the biggest threat in the game because of how people are coming after him in an attempt to foster a relationship with Rizo and get him on his side.
Little does Coach know, but Rizo’s in an alliance with Dee, and even though they lost one of their members the night before, he’s not likely to blindly follow the Dragon Slayer the way people have in the past. Because, in all honesty, as Coach is inviting Rizo to “be dangerous” in the game with him, Rizo looks utterly bored.
In Survivor 49, we learned that Rizo is not one to follow others but rather the one to charm and manipulate a situation so others think they’re in charge. So this moment actually sets him up perfectly to help his alliance vote out Jonathan Young—another one of Coach’s allies—who Tiffany Ervin is livid with after he flipped and voted out Kamilla Karthigesu.

If episode 7 brings the moment where Rizo pretends to blindly follow Coach so he can learn their moves only to turn around and use that information against Coach’s alliance, it will be the perfect way to blindside Jonathan and his allies the same way they were blindsided the night before.
Everyone keeps saying blood was shed in episode 6, but I think we’re going to be in for a real bloodbath when the Survivor continues this Wednesday, April 8 at 8 p.m. and those who were burned become the players holding the stakes.
