We still don't know when the Survivor 49 finale will air, but we do know the Survivor 50 premiere date!
CBS revealed Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans will premiere on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026.
The season premiere, I believe, will be making history as the first three-hour premiere in the show's history. Usually, CBS reserves those three-hour slots for Survivor finales, but hey, this is a big season.
The Survivor 50 premiere should not come as a surprise to die-hard fans. We know CBS always releases new seasons of the show around the end of February to kick off the Survivor spring season. Thankfully, that's not changing for the biggest season of the series so far.
For the rest of Survivor 50, it appears CBS has plans for 90-minute episodes every Wednesday night throughout the season, which has been the same for the new era. We still don't know if we'll find out the winner of Survivor 50 in Fiji, like the rest of the new era, or if they'll be going to Los Angeles or New York for another live finale event. That, like many things on Survivor 50, will be decided by the fans, of course.
According to Variety, CBS already has big plans for Survivor ahead of Survivor 50, as well. While the Winter Olympics are airing on NBC, CBS will be rolling out some of the biggest and best Survivor episodes in history.
Starting Feb. 9, CBS will air one new episode of Survivor every day heading into the season premiere on Feb. 25.
Remember, we already know who is going to be on Survivor 50. Jeff Probst and CBS announced that news back in May 2025 as the players were flown out to Fiji. Here is the full list of the Survivor 50 cast, along with the two Survivor 49 players who have been reported to be joining the new season:
