Survivor 50is still in full swing for at least another month, but to stay on schedule,Jeff Probstand theSurvivorteam are gearing up to filmSurvivor 51and52very soon.
According to a report fromThe Fiji Times, the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji announced the Mamanuca Island group, whereSurvivorfilms, is under a temporary exclusion zone from Wednesday, April 15, to July 3, 2026. Those are the dates whenSurvivor 51and52will be filming out in Fiji.
Basically, this means that any boats or travelers in the area need to avoid the area whileSurvivor 51and52are filming. It gives us a lot of important information about when the cameras will be rolling on the next two seasons ofSurvivor.
We don't know thatSurvivor 51production actually starts on Wednesday, April 15, but it's definitely possible that filming will be starting soon. Last year,Survivor 49filmed from April 20 to May 15, so we're expectingSurvivor 51will follow a similar timeline.
After that,Survivor 52is expected to start filming around the end of May or beginning of June to wrap right before the Fourth of July holiday.
CBS has already renewedSurvivor 51.That happened quite a long time ago, and casting has been in the works for even longer, prior to the start ofSurvivor 50.
CBS has not officially renewedSurvivor 52,though, but this summer, Probst confirmed that they were gearing up to film two seasons in Fiji this year. It's obvious that those two seasons areSurvivor 51and52.
With production starting very soon, theSurvivor 51cast list will likely be revealed online. There's very little information aboutSurvivor 51so far, but that will change as the scoopers start to learn more.
We haven't heard if returning players would be included inSurvivor 51and 52. I don't think they would do it this early afterSurvivor 50,but Probsthas mentionedthat returning-player seasons will happen again in the future.
As usual, if you don't want to get anything spoiled for future seasons ofSurvivor,including the cast, you should probably start treading a little more carefully on social media. I would not be surprised if we start seeing leaks as early as a few weeks from now. That's typically when the action starts to heat up, but it's not going to be nearly as big as theSurvivor 50chatter.
