Survivor 50 is still in full swing for at least another month, but to stay on schedule, Jeff Probst and the Survivor team are gearing up to film Survivor 51 and 52 very soon.
According to a report from The Fiji Times, the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji announced the Mamanuca Island group, where Survivor films, is under a temporary exclusion zone from Wednesday, April 15, to July 3, 2026. Those are the dates when Survivor 51 and 52 will be filming out in Fiji.
Basically, this means that any boats or travelers in the area need to avoid the area while Survivor 51 and 52 are filming. It gives us a lot of important information about when the cameras will be rolling on the next two seasons of Survivor.
We don't know that Survivor 51 production actually starts on Wednesday, April 15, but it's definitely possible that filming will be starting soon. Last year, Survivor 49 filmed from April 20 to May 15, so we're expecting Survivor 51 will follow a similar timeline.
After that, Survivor 52 is expected to start filming around the end of May or beginning of June to wrap right before the Fourth of July holiday.
CBS has already renewed Survivor 51. That happened quite a long time ago, and casting has been in the works for even longer, prior to the start of Survivor 50.
CBS has not officially renewed Survivor 52, though, but this summer, Probst confirmed that they were gearing up to film two seasons in Fiji this year. It's obvious that those two seasons are Survivor 51 and 52.
With production starting very soon, the Survivor 51 cast list will likely be revealed online. There's very little information about Survivor 51 so far, but that will change as the scoopers start to learn more.
We haven't heard if returning players would be included in Survivor 51 and 52. I don't think they would do it this early after Survivor 50, but Probst has mentioned that returning-player seasons will happen again in the future.
As usual, if you don't want to get anything spoiled for future seasons of Survivor, including the cast, you should probably start treading a little more carefully on social media. I would not be surprised if we start seeing leaks as early as a few weeks from now. That's typically when the action starts to heat up, but it's not going to be nearly as big as the Survivor 50 chatter.
Stay tuned for more news about Survivor 51 and 52! We'll share more information about the new seasons when we find out.
