Survivor 51 episode 2 first look photos and predictions

Fans agree thatSurvivorfeels alive and well after theseason 51premiere last Wednesday, but will the show and players be able to keep up that stamina all season long?

Looking ahead to episode 2, titled, "Weaponized Honesty," I think we can agree that the best is yet to come withSurvivor. CBS revealed a brief description for the next episode along with some first look photos which give us some hints of what to expect—especially after last week's "next time onSurvivor" teaser video.

"A chilling injury at camp threatens to send one player home. Two tribes face off in a daunting immunity challenge at sea where one tribe struggles to keep afloat. Then, Tribal Council takes a wild turn when one player attempts a never-before-seen move to save an ally, on SURVIVOR..."

Will we see two players sent home in episode 2 ofSurvivor 51?

My thought is, no...

In episode 2's sneak peek (below), they make it very clear thatBrady Bookerinjures his finger while chopping something with the machete. Based on the activity, it seems this happens earlier in the episode, pre-immunity challenge, since we usually don't see survival camp activities happening after the challenge is over—especially as we go back to 90-minute episodes. That's when the players and edit are focused on strategizing for Tribal Council.

And during the challenge clips of the preview, we see Brady in the water shouting, which leads me to believe that he cuts his hand, gets it bandaged up, and during the challenge perseveres through the pain to push his tribe through.

Though Aaliyah Puglia went home from the Toka tribe—and she was the person that clearly held them back the most in the challenge—I don't think this week is going to bring any additional luck to the tribe. I foresee them losing this challenge once more due to the pure strength needed to carry the whale, having one man's hands down, and the other strongest man on the tribe, Lewis Kelly, having injured hands as well from that axe on Exile Island.

Yes, as you can see in the above first look picture, it seems—like fans and everyone predicted—that Lewis joins the Toka tribe, replacing Aaliyah after her elimination last week. While I don't think he'sin danger, I do think people may be slightly wary of him and his gameplay potential down the road.

But this coming week, there's no doubt in my mind that Devin Way and Angelica "Jelly" Loblack are in trouble after they were the only odd-people-out of last week's vote. Not only that, butthe name of the episode is "Weaponized Honesty" which directly ties back to when Devin referred to his own gameplay as "radical honesty."

I predict this quote is either going to come from Devin directly as his antithesis to last week, updating his gameplay style in order to stay in the game while on the bottom. Or, it will be a remark made by the person coming for him—likely Jenna Doore who turned the game on its head last week by manipulating Brady with an honest statement—about how they're going to get him out.

And according to the episodes description we're going to see someone attempt a "never-before-seen move to save an ally" at Tribal Council. After we saw twoshots in the darkplayed in the premiere episode, I could definitely foresee both Devin and Jelly playing their shots in the dark during episode 2's Tribal Council as well.

The twist, though? I think one of them is going to draw safety and try to give it to the other player because they think they're going to be the one who's actually in danger with the votes. We've seen players allowed to give the immunity idol necklace to someone else to swap safety, we've seen players allowed to play immunity idols on other players, but we've never seen someone attempt to play their safe shot in the dark scroll on another player.

However, if that's the case, that means they need at least one more person on their side to actually pull it off. Because in a tribe of 10 players—with Lewis replacing Aaliyah—if two play their shot in the dark, that's only 8 votes in the urn. If all votes are on one player and that's who ends up having safety, it would cause a revote and everyone could just vote for the unsafe shot in the dark player.

But if they have 1 vote thrown in for someone else, the votes for the safe shot in the dark player are null and the one person who gets a vote will go home. Of course, with this many people in a tribe, if the majority are aligning on one player, they should know tosplit the votesby this point just in case one of them found an idol or plays the safe shot in the dark.

But yeah, Toka is definitely in trouble again. Because just try and tell me this isn't the face of a man who just lost a challenge he put 110% into with only one hand at full strength?
