After more than 20 years, the legendarySurvivor: Borneocontestant who compared her season’s finalists to the snakes and rats of the island they were living on has finally come back into the light to share her thoughts on modernSurvivor.
On the latest episode ofRob Has a Podcast’s“Talking with T-Bird” series (below), Teresa “T-Bird” Cooper was so excited to share withRob Cesterninothat she had finally procured interest from Sue Hawk who decided that with her 65th birthday taking place, it was finally a good time to revisit the world ofSurvivorand everything that’s happened since she last appeared onSurvivor: All-Stars, leaving the game after being sexually harassed by her former tribe mate, Richard Hatch.
But now, Hawk is back in theSurvivorworld, diving in atSurvivor 49, after not watching it since she was on the series. Because with all the hype aroundSurvivor 50, she decided she was going tohaveto watch the anniversary season, but didn’t know almost any of the players out there—with the exception of a few people, including one she once played with.
When asked what she thought about her former tribe mate Jenna Lewis-Doughtery going out forSurvivor 50, Hawk replied, “Boring. Like, I don’t think she should have been there,” only to realize she misheard Cooper and thought they were talking aboutGenevieve Mushaluk.
“Oh, Jenna! Jenna Lewis!” The 7th place finalist laughed, “First one out? I mean, that’s the worst I would think. Like, you go out there and…that would be the one position you wouldn’t want. She’s just flapping her mouth right away…”
Safe to say, Hawk had no problems sharing her thoughts on the latest round of returning contestants. Including fan favoriteOzzy Lusth.
“What blew my mind on [50] was Ozzy. I never watched Ozzy in any of his seasons, but I heard, you know, you’d hear stuff over the years with this Ozzy guy…” Hawk begins after discussing loyalty in the game, only to take a sharp left turn by asking, “Who the hell wears a mullet in 2026?”
To say she was unimpressed with him from Day 1 is an understatement. “Then when he had the dream,” she continues, “[about] getting voted off the island, I’m like, did you not follow your intuition? He is a shallow soul. He is a young, weak soul.”
