Ozzy Lusth has made the merge on Survivor 50 and has a chance to set two major Survivor records. Neither will be easy to achieve during his highly entertaining season composed of outstanding players from the show's long history.
Ozzy has always been known as someone who thrived in the survival part of the game. He could climb trees for coconuts. He was at home in the ocean, fishing to provide food for this tribe. Furthermore, he is always competitive in physical challenges.
He has struggled with the social and strategic parts of the game. He's comfortable dealing with nature, but not always with human nature. He has worked to improve his strategic chops, but they're not as honed as his other skills.
This season, he has aligned himself with two superb strategic players in fellow Survivor legend Cirie Fields and youngster Rizo Velovic. If they can deflect attention from themselves, they could possibly make it to the final five or six together, if not even further.

Ozzy is going for the individual immunity record and most days played in Survivor history
During the seventh episode of Survivor 50, Ozzy won his eighth career individual immunity. One more, and he ties the record held by Boston Rob Mariano. Two more immunity wins, and Ozzy breaks Boston Rob's record and becomes the only player with double-digit individual immunity wins.
If Ozzy can last 21 days, he will tie Parvati Shallow for the second-most days played in the American version of Survivor. Parvati holds the overall record if you count days played on the Australian version of the game (165).
If he can make it to day 24, he will tie Boston Rob for the most days played in the American version at 152. If Ozzy can make it to day 25, he will hold the record by himself.
These are remarkable accomplishments if he can stay in the game long enough. Boston Rob and Parvati are two of the most accomplished players in the show's history. For a physical threat to hold the record for days played would be incredible, considering how quickly these types of players tend to get voted out.
As an additional note, Cirie came into season 50 with 121 days played. If she makes it to the final day, she will fall two short of tying Parvati's 149 days played mark. Ozzy and Cirie were already ranked third and fourth, and this season's deep run by both will solidify their spots on the most days played list for a long time.
It has been a joy watching terrific old-school players like Ozzy, Cirie, and Stephanie LaGrossa Kendrick this season, and Ozzy has the chance to make Survivor history.
