Survivor legend shuts down Survivor 50 return: 'You’re not gonna see me out there'

One of the best Survivor players to have ever played the game has seemingly ruled out a return for Survivor 50.

As speculation continues to swirl around which former Survivor players will return to play the game once again in the upcoming milestone 50th season of the show, there is one iconic player who has made it quite clear they have no intentions of returning to play the game again.

Following her recent elimination from Deal or No Deal Island season 2, Parvati Shallow has made it clear she has no plans of returning to play the game of Survivor for a fifth time. “No, you’re not gonna see me out there,” Shallow sadly told TV Insider when asked about whether she would be interested in participating in the upcoming 50th season.

It seems that the decision stems from Shallow looking to move away from reality competition shows as she looks to focus her attention on new projects including her recently launched Nice Girls Don’t Win podcast with her Deal or No Deal costar Amy Bean. In her own words, she’s moved into a whole new arena of creative projects which has her excited for what’s to come next.

“I’m moving out of reality competition, and I’m moving into host and executive producer roles and creating. I started a podcast called Nice Girls Don’t Win with story producer Amy Bean, who was out on Deal or No Deal with me, and we’re interviewing interesting people and having really fun conversations there. I’ve moved into a whole new arena of creative projects, and I’m really excited about what’s coming next,” Shallow told TV Insider.

While it seems that Shallow won’t be returning to compete as part of the Survivor 50 cast, it’s worth noting that she did not mention whether she’s spoken with host Jeff Probst about the upcoming anniversary season. Could it be that perhaps she won’t be playing the game but would be open to a quick cameo along the way? With the anniversary season ahead, who knows what CBS might have up its sleeve and whether Survivor 50 could look to feature former players in alternative ways that won’t involve them playing the game.

It’s certainly disappointing to know that Shallow won’t be in the mix for Survivor 50 as she’s one of the best to play the game. A return to play in season 50 also would have given her the chance to tie Boston Rob’s record for most seasons played (though if Rob returns for Survivor 50, that would become a moot point).

Shallow first played the game of Survivor back in season 13 where she made a strong run finishing in sixth place. She returned a few seasons later in season 16 and won the game, cementing herself as one of the best to play the game. From there, Shallow continued to build upon her legacy returning for season 20 where she came just short of winning again. Her last appearance came in Survivor 40 where she was eliminated halfway through the season.
