There are a bunch of Survivor legends returning for Survivor 50! On Wednesday, May 28, the Survivor 50 cast has been officially announced by Jeff Probst and CBS. We also learned that one former Survivor winner is joining another show very soon.
Tyson Apostol, one of the Survivor players who doesn't get enough love and credit, according to Jeff Probst, has joined the cast of House of Villains season 3.
According to a press release from Peacock, Tyson will be competing for the title of "America's Ultimate Supervillain" and a $200,000 cash prize. Production on the third season starts this week, and like Survivor 50, it will be released sometime in early 2026. No release date has been announced so far.
It's obviously a bit of a bummer that Tyson is not one of the players heading back to Fiji for Survivor 50, but we've known for a while that Tyson would not be included. The last time Tyson played Survivor was during Survivor: Winners at War, the 40th season of the series. Who knows if we'll see one of the Coconut Bandits in Survivor again, but I'd definitely like to see it!
Tyson has played Survivor four times so far, and he won Survivor: Blood vs. Water. He's done basically everything a person can and more in Survivor, so if this is the end of the road, I totally understand and appreciate that. On the other hand, Coach, also known as The Dragon Slayer, told us all he wasn't going to return for Survivor 50, but he's coming back!
House of Villains season 3 cast
In House of Villains season 3, Tyson will be competing against 10 other villainous reality stars. It's just kind of weird because I don't really think of Tyson as a villain, even though he definitely is. He's just a great Survivor player.
Anyway, I shared the full cast of House of Villains season 3!
- Tyson Apostol (Survivor, The Challenge)
- Tom Sandoval (Vanderpump Rules, The Traitors)
- Plane Jane (RuPaul's Drag Race)
- Tiffany "New York" Pollard (I Love New York, Flavor of Love)
- Paul Abrahamian (Big Brother)
- Christine Quinn (Selling Sunset)
- Kate Chastain (The Traitors, Below Deck)
- Drita D’Avanzo (Mob Wives)
- Johnny Middlebrooks (The Challenge, Love Island)
- Ashley Mitchell (The Challenge)
- Jackie Christie (Basketball Wives)
Look, I don't want to really get into this because I don't know all of these reality stars, and I'm not super familiar with how House of Villains actually works. But, I will say that I've seen a lot of these villains on their respective shows, and I feel like Tyson has a great chance to win. None of these players, strategically, match up well against Tyson, so if he's able to do what he does out on the island, he should be America's Ultimate Supervillain when it's all said and done.
That's my prediction, anyway! The unfortunate part is that all of these Survivor legends have a hard time on these other shows because everyone knows what they bring to the table. We've seen them targeted quite often in The Traitors, The Challenge, and many of the other reality shows. The Survivor players always bring it, and I'm sure Tyson will, too!
We'll share more news about Tyson competing on House of Villains season 3 when we find out!
