While there are many debates that will forever plagueSurvivorfans—keeping us both united and divided between all our varying opinions—there will always be one question that has the power to open a can of worms like no other…

What is the best season ofSurvivor? The one you could binge forever and never get bored…

And that’s exactly what we asked the Surviving Tribal community over on our Facebook page in the hopes that we could maybe settle this debate once and for all. And I have good news! There is a clear consensus of which season is most beloved—though there were 22 different seasons that were tossed into the ring, one clearly reigned supreme.

Of course, I’ve shared my own opinion on this and I was shocked to learn that my personal favorite season—and the season with thehighest IMDB rating—didn’t even make the cut by our fans. But that’s ok. Because I know that it is actually the best season of all time and I have absolutely no problems agreeing to disagree with our incredible community.

So let’s take a look at the numbers and see who has which seasons on repeat (and which one takes the cake!).

2% of fans agree these 13 seasons are best:

While these aren’t the winning picks, they’re still some of the best seasons inSurvivorhistory according to you all. And there definitely are somegreatseasons listed below, filled with interesting themes, iconic players, innovative twists and more!

  • Survivor: Borneo (season 1)
  • Survivor: Africa (season 3)
  • Survivor: Pearl Islands (season 7)
  • Survivor: Panama (season 12)
  • Survivor: China (season 15)
  • Survivor: Gabon (season 17)
  • Survivor: Tocantins (season 18)
  • Survivor: Caramoan (season 26)
  • Survivor: Blood vs. Water (season 27)
  • Survivor: Game Changers (season 34)
  • Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers (season 35)
  • Survivor: David vs. Goliath (season 37)
  • Survivor 48

These 8 seasons were semi-close seconds…

Behind our first place finisher were 8 more seasons that I also highly appreciate. In fact, a lot of these fall onto my re-binge list as well as my list of great seasons to check out for newSurvivorfans. Filled with some of the most dynamic gameplay still to exist in the history of the series, we have some great seasons coming in before our Sole Survivor season.

  • 4% voted for Survivor: All-Stars (season 8)
  • 4% voted for Survivor: Micronesia (season 16)
  • 4% voted for Survivor: Samoa (season 19)
  • 4% voted for Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X (season 33)
  • 6% voted for Survivor: The Australian Outback (season 2)
  • 6% voted for Survivor: Cook Islands (season 13)
  • 8% voted for Survivor: Winners at War (season 40)
  • 10% voted for Survivor: Cagayan (season 28)

Which season is the Sole Survivor ofSurvivorseasons?

And with a whopping 17% of fan votes, the season everyone agrees is the best—both when it first came out and still holding up today—is season 20,Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains. The first major anniversary season, celebrating 10 years of the show by bringing back 20 of the most loved—and hated—players over the last 19 seasons to compete again for $1 million.

It was a true testament to the question of ‘what kind of gameplay isactuallythe best inSurvivor?’ and proved that the strategic, cunning minds of villains can outwit, outplay, and outlast the heroes any day. We also got the first two-time winner in the history of the show, which was not something we even anticipated being a possibility when the season first was announced.

And now with the open era coming into play, could we be getting a sequel to our beloved heroes vs. villains format? I’ve already startedpredicting new era playersI would love to see get a second chance on a season specifically like this one. But we’ll just have to wait and find out if CBS plans to bring back this fan-favorite format.
