For the first time since Survivor 45, the Sia Award returned for Survivor 50, the biggest season in Survivor history.
Instead of Sia, the pop star and Survivor superfan, choosing her favorite of the season and gifting them $100,000 after the finale, Sia allowed the fans to choose for Survivor 50 since the season was, technically, in their hands.
Heading into the season finale, Jeff Probst announced the Sia Award was returning and asked fans to vote one last time. This time, instead of choosing gameplay, they were choosing the fan favorite who would win the $100,00 prize. Now, we know who that player is.
Cirie Fields is the winner of the Sia Award
After naming Aubry Bracco as the winner of Survivor 50, he came back from the commercial break to reveal that Cirie Fields won the Survivor 50 Sia Award and $100,00 prize.
Obviosuly, it's not hard to argue with the fans about Survivor most of the time, but I have no argument here. Cirie was clearly the fan favorite player of the season. She is just such a legend, and it was an honor to watch her play this game so many times over the years. I am forever a fan!
I also just wanted to shout out Rick Devens and Christian Hubicki. They were so much fun to watch this season, too, with all the antics and coin flips and all of it. I also think Ozzy Lusth deserves a lot of credit for how he played the game. He made one crucial mistake, but it's so great to see him back in the game after so long out of it.

Cirie Fields joins a short list of Survivor players who have won the Sia Award, including Tai Trang, Donathan Hurley, Davie Rickenbacker, Rick Devens, Aurora McCreary, Joe Anglim, Elaine Stott, Janet Carbin, Jamal Shipman, Drea Wheeler, Jesse Lopez, Owen Knight, Ryan Medrano, Carolyn Wiger, Carson Garrett, Lauren Harpe, Katurah Topps, Jake O'Kane, and Kaleb Gebrewold.
Of course, there are many other fan favorites in Survivor history. They used to choose the fan favorite of every season way back in the day. That's been out of the game for a while, but we'd love to see it brought back in future seasons! Bring back the fan vote, you cowards!
