Here’s everything that you will need to know about Survivor Game Changers Episode 1, titled “The Stakes Have Been Raised.”
It’s usually this time each year that we start a brand new season of Survivor. However, with CBS trying out a new reality show in Hunted, scheduled to run until March 1, the debut of Survivor Game Changers has been pushed back to March 8.
That doesn’t mean we know nothing about the upcoming season, as CBS has sent out a press release that provides the synopsis for Survivor Game Changers Episode 1: “The Stakes Have Been Raised.”
"It’s an epic showdown as two legends in SURVIVOR history set their sights on one another, on the two-hour season premiere of SURVIVOR, Wednesday, March 8 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Also, two castaways attempt to put their past behind them and start a new game while another castaway introduces the “spy shack” 2.0."
Of course, considering that we will have 20 returning players as part of the Survivor 34 cast, CBS is going to be as vague as possible about the debut. Still, at the very least, we can glean that Tony Vlachos will be digging deep into his bag of tricks in order to debut some added sneakiness into his repertoire.

That leaves a lot of speculation about two nuggets of information coming out of this Survivor Game Changers Episode 1 synopsis. Who are the two legends set to face off against each other? This could easily refer to J.T. and Ozzy for the Nuku Tribe, as there are no two players on the Mana tribe that have a history dating back years ago to be considered “legendary” status.
Additionally, which two castaways will “attempt to put their past behind them” this season? That can refer to just about anybody, including Cirie Fields and Ozzy, or even Debbie and Tai. Remember, Debbie didn’t vote for Tai at the Survivor Kaoh Rong final tribal council. Everyone on Mana seems to be loosely disconnected, so it’s hard to tell what part of the synopsis refers to their tribe.
