9. Zeke Smith (9)

Much like with Aubry, Zeke is in a position where no one is familiar with how he plays the game (yes, that’s also the case with Michaela too). What we know as fans, though, is that Zeke is a student of the game and, even when he’s not in a good position, he’s at least aware of that. So his intended alliance with Cirie and, by proxy, Ozzy works in his favor. However, I’m tentative to say that alliance works out in his favor down the line. As smart as Zeke is, I’d venture to say Cirie is more so. Subsequently, if she starts to figure out Zeke, she could turn on him. Ozzy, ironically, can attest to this.

8. Sarah Lacina (11)

Sarah is another player whose game is still a bit unclear at this point. She’s playing a much more aware game than she did her first time in Cagayan, but there hasn’t really been a hint yet at her making some kind of big move. How she chooses to go about aligning herself within the Tavua tribe could be critical. Even if she joins the majority right away, if she’s just a body in that majority, that’s still not good for her game moving forward. With that said, I’m high on Tavua as a whole after the swap as they seem to all have a way to go deep into this game, depending on how things transpire.

7. Jeff Varner (10)

I’m not sure many people saw this coming, but Varner is one of the more level-headed and likable players after nine days in Fiji. Varner has always had a propensity for making too bold of moves too soon—or at least trying to—and it costing him. He’s not yet done such a thing in Game Changers, however, and it’s to his gain. Now he’s becoming a character that fans are most certainly supposed to get behind and a player that could potentially be in power on the new Nuku tribe with some of the other members being obvious targets as soon as they’re sent to Tribal Council.
