When you’re a Survivor superfan, it’s a lot easier to respect the gameplay others perform in tribal council vote offs. Even if you are the target of a blindside and are sent packing, it’s a lot easier to take the emotional impact of such a loss when you understand that it’s just another twist in a season known for its twists and turns in Survivor Game Changers.
Zeke Smith was the latest victim of tribal council, being sent to the jury in 10th place. In both seasons he’s played, Zeke was the fourth player to be voted out post-merge, as Jessica Lewis was sent to the jury by rock draw. So when he had to provide his Survivor final words, he met the emotional moment with a level-headed steadiness.

“It was smart for Andrea to come after me,” Zeke exclaims,” because I was just about to come after Andrea. It was a great move worthy of the title Game Changers. But playing this game, I have confronted so many fears, and moved beyond boundaries that I’ve long kept in my life. It was a tremendously significant experience. I will forever be a better person because I played Survivor.”
The “fears” and “boundaries” Zeke Smith brings up obviously refer to the hurtful attacks against him made by Jeff Varner in the “Metamorphosis” episode, but it goes to show you the strength of his character. The amount of poise, precision and earnest insight provided by Zeke is never anything short of tremendous, even as the game fades away at that fateful vote.
