Debbie Wanner – Leading the Ozzy vote

For all the manic behavior she brought the season, Debbie was an underrated player in strategic gameplay. Sure, she may have been a social nightmare destined to never win the game, but she knows what works well for her alliance in terms of the votes.

When everyone was pandering to Sierra Dawn Thomas and Brad Culpepper in deciding who to eliminate, nobody seemed to have a concise target. Debbie was the one to speak up and offer up a logical argument; Ozzy Lusth can go on an immunity run and slide his way into the Final Tribal Council. Since Tai barely beat him in the second Individual Immunity challenge, that was the exact time to do it.

Not only that, accumulating the knowledge and outside perspective on Exile Island from winner John Cochran, she knew the right time to use her Extra Vote advantage was here, too. Even though Ozzy left the game by a decision validated with more than one vote, she made a great move in front of her fellow players and the growing jury.

In the brief times of clarity that she has, Debbie has flashes of brilliance. It’s a pity she gets a little bit too full of herself around Aubry.
