An unpredictably excellent final third of the season tops the list of reasons Jeff Probst wants you to watch Survivor Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.

There’s a lot to be said about Survivor edgic, depending on your interpretation. Some view the goal of predicting a winner using a counting system of confessionals, screentime, game importance and editing to guess who will win a bit unfair. Sometimes, though, Jeff Probst comes along and says things about a season like Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers that makes you think certain outcomes are headed down the line.

Entertainment Weekly has posted a piece today with Jeff Probst as he indicates the upcoming season of Survivor will have, “One of my favorite final Tribals.” In addition to giving other reasons why you should watch the upcoming season (including naming Dr. Mike Zahalsky as a sole reason), the longtime host doubles down on the dynamic factor of the game’s third act.

“The last third of the season, you cannot predict what is going to happen,” says Probst. “You won’t want to miss it. And you’re going to love the thrill of the drama.”

Probst also indicates Survivor Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers will have “One of my favorite final Tribals — new format, a hearty discussion, and who knows? Minds may be changed in the jury.”

Using “Probstgic” (the act of reading between the lines of what the host says about a season he’s watched in person), one can come to a few conclusions. First, the final third of this upcoming season is so loved by the host because plenty of players are making big moves down the line. Perhaps another player will get screwed by idols by not having one, as Jeff previously defended Cirie Fields’ exit from Game Changers.

Another hint includes the idea that the switch to the new Final Tribal Council format could change minds in the end. Since Jeff is still salty about Michele’s Kaoh Rong win to this day, likely creating this alteration to the Final Tribal Council, it sounds like a thought-to-be underserving winner-to-be could have victory snatched away from them with an excellent FTC speech or two.
