Survivor season 35 episode 5 commercial hints up and down extremes
The latest commercial for Survivor season 35, Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, gives away too much, showing a player at their highest and another at their lowest.
Warning: Survivor season 35 episode 5 has a commercial that shows way too much gameplay if you want to go into next week’s episode fresh.
After a historic tribe swap and an unfortunate end for an over-the-top player, we have a few outstanding storylines in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers. Jessica feels betrayed by Cole, setting up unease at Yawa. Ryan and Chrissy seem to be teamed up and ready to take over control at Soko. Joe and Desi have out-crazied their way of a tough scenario but could go back to Tribal Council once more quite easily.
Of course, you can’t focus on the same characters all the time, hence the commercial for the upcoming episode showing two players featured quite prominently. First is Dr. Mike Zahalsky finding a Hidden Immunity Idol alongside Jessica. He notes that he started from the bottom, now he’s here at the top, weighing the cons about flipping the power dynamics of the tribe.

While I’m shocked CBS wanted to reveal that information already, what’s going on with Marine Ben Driebergen is quite concerning from a gameplay and an editorial standpoint. “What brings this Marine’s past back to haunt him,” questions the narration, as Ben is hinted to suffer some sort of traumatic event in the next episode.
You never want to hear a player say, “Life is bigger than the game of Survivor,” especially when they’re sitting in a great position and can go deep. I’d be shocked to learn that Ben could be medevaced next Wednesday, especially with CBS promoting it as a must-see event. Whatever’s best for Ben must be deemed most important, although I hope this is shown as part of building up Ben as a character to cheer for as he goes deep in the game.
