One fan has noticed a particular editing pattern that reveals which Survivor season 35 tribe is about to lose an Immunity Challenge.

For the most part, the editing team has done a great job at keeping things a mystery for this show. Survivor season 35, Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, has given us major doubt about who goes home the last two episodes, as the eliminations of Patrick Bolton and Alan Ball had a general anxiety and intense feeling up until the votes were read.

As noted on the Survivor subreddit, however, the editors have let something slip in the first few episodes of this season that directly showcase who’s about to lose each Immunity Challenge. As you can see in the video below, any time Jeff Probst mentions the losers will have a date with him at Tribal Council where someone is going to be voted out of this game (or something to that effect), look at where the edit pans to each time.

In episode 1, after Jeff mentions “losers” of the first Immunity Challenge, the camera cuts to Levu, who would vote out Katrina later that episode. Episode 2 has Jeff mention “last tribe to finish” while zooming into Ali’s reaction on the Yawa tribe, who would go on to vote out Simone. The exact same thing happens to Yawa, with the exact same Probst mention, in episode 3. Levu is viewed as the “losers” ahead of the episode 4 Immunity Challenge, as well.

More from Heroes Vs Healers Vs Hustlers

While it may happen a few times in a regular Survivor season, it hasn’t been as consistent from the beginning of a season to a tribe swap as it has in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers. It could be a temporary slip of the mind, though, but it’s certainly something to look forward to.

Last season’s early Game Changers winners had an odd editing trick, too, although the production could not have predicted it. In the first few episodes, whatever “Dream Team” tribe (faceless challenge production crew) running the sample run of a challenge that went on to win would produce the same result in real gameplay. That one was more a coincidence, as it’s not like CBS would purposefully film three different results for the visual sample of a challenge.

When Survivor season 35 episode 5 airs on October 25 at 8 p.m. ET, make sure to see which tribe is referred to as “losers” or “last tribe to finish.” They could very well be voting someone out later that episode.
