CBS has given enough clues about Survivor season 35 episode 12 to let us know who has the best chance of finding another Hidden Immunity Idol.

Despite it being an unfair, unjust, self-celebratory event that annoyed the majority of fans, Jeff Probst defended it in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers pre-show press interviews. He didn’t see an issue with the number of advantages and idols in the game.
The Survivor season 35 episode 12 sneak peek has been posted to YouTube and this time, we know who has the best chance to win another Hidden Immunity Idol, bringing the season’s total to seven. That’s a new record in Survivor history, beating out the previous total of six found in Heroes vs. Villains and Cagayan, and we’ll glue the pieces together after the video below.
Late last week, CBS posted the Survivor season 35 episode 12 synopsis, reading the following: “Castaways receive a much-needed visit from their loved ones, and one castaway must snatch an idol in plain sight … “As we can see in the video above, the shell in the dirt has been highlighted to indicate prominence, typically found only when the editing needs to highlight a Hidden Immunity Idol.

After the players take their positions for the Immunity Challenge, you can clearly see that Lauren is the player nearest the shell, as she takes her spot on the red platform. Even as Jeff Probst asks about the challenge, you can see Lauren look around the ground for clues about the idol. Whether or not she does grab for it and retrieve it without getting caught remains to be seen, but it’s a bummer that CBS let on as much as they did.
