Survivor’s Jeff Probst teases finale ‘battle to the very end’
Jeff Probst makes a cameo appearance on the Survivor Fan Forum to thank the fans for watching, talk about season 35 in general and tease the finale.
The host of Survivor, Jeff Probst, has been an undying hype man for the show ever since it began close to two decades ago. However, it wasn’t until he got to the second half of his current tenure when he became Executive Producer of the greatest reality competition show on television, giving him unprecedented access to all facets of the show’s creation.
That makes him also prone to hearing feedback about the show from the fans, so he made an appearance on the Survivor Fan Forum yesterday to address some outgoing comments while teasing next week’s finale. In his near-two-minute-long video message (which even got edited down), he thanked the fans for staying with the show by noting their continued support lets Survivor try new things out.
“Sometimes they work really well; sometimes they’re okay; sometimes they suck,” Probst notes about the new twists and turns of the season. He even mentioned the “slow burn” of the season’s start, referring to it as “real cagey,” as if to pass judgment on the passive play in the pre-merge section of the game.
Ultimately, though, Jeff Probst is here to ramp up hype for the finale, part of the “best finishes” line he gave in an interview before the season aired its first episode. “You’re going to see a battle until the very end,” Probst mentions, as he reminds us just three players will make it to the end (confirming an expected Final Tribal Council of three players).
