She was the face in front of Survivor Ghost Island’s first big move of the season. However, should Libby Vincek return to the island sometime in the future?

Not every player who makes it to the merge has a complex story to them. For some, they have a small, but repeating, story that pops up when it needs to supplement what else is going on. Libby Vincek very much had that kind of story to her, as she became the face for others’ actions and garnered a reputation because of it.

Libby was a very subdued character at first, being almost invisible in the debut episode. However, with a swap in episode 3 and a Malolo disadvantage on the new Naviti, she needed to cross the aisle and make new relationships. Morgan was that person, as the two shared a bond over their religious background.

Of course, all good things come to an end for most players on Survivor, as James Lim came up with an idea that uses Naviti’s inner strife against them. As a suggestion from Dom, Wendell and Morgan to vote out Angela against her knowledge, James pitched throwing their four votes against Morgan, effectively blindsiding the majority.

Infamously, Morgan fawned over Libby during that Tribal Council, saying how cute and innocent she was. However, as she walked out of the game, she called her out by saying, “Don’t trust the cute blonde.” Despite it being James’ plan, Naviti assigned some sort of conniving personality to her, as both Domenick and Bradley viewed her as a threat from Naviti 2.0, to 3.0, through to the merge.

Even at the merge, Libby became the “safety votes” target each and every time from the majority, and it eventually cost her. Ms. Vincek’s fate came at the behest of others, as Michael Yerger played his second Immunity Idol and negated all votes against him. Perception of her being a threat led to her demise, even if she wasn’t ever really malicious in the game.
