Tabletop RPGs are primed to insert any type of theme and system imaginable. Someone came up with their own system for Survivor fans and roleplayers.

Despite the earliest video games being released in the late 1950s, tabletop RPGs weren’t really a thing, commercially, until Dungeons and Dragons in 1974. Since then, the gaming world has seen a variety of titles and themes, including that for horror, roleplay-heavy, gameplay-heavy and more. There are even tabletop systems for huge properties such as Star Wars.Survivor RPG was inevitable.

Reddit user tndeadg has come up with their own Survivor tabletop RPG system; one that focuses more on gameplay than dice rolls. How it differs from other tabletop systems is that it serves 16-24 players split up into teams of two or three to start, focusing more on dynamics and communicating with other players to stay later in the game. The DM serves as the host of the challenges.

It wouldn’t be a tabletop RPG without stats and skills, as the Survivor RPG uses Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence and Stamina as its base attributes. In addition, you have a base 50 HP pool and hunger points, requiring you to fend for supplies if they are low at camp or use a limited-supply medkit.

A game of Survivor requires physical, mental and emotional skills in order to thrive, and that’s where your stats pool helps feed your skills. Depending on the player you spec into, Area Knowledge might help you find Hidden Immunity Idols, Survival will stave off hunger for longer, Teamwork may help you lead your team through a tribal Immunity Challenge and Puzzle Solving will improve your chances of solving puzzles.

Though tabletop systems are best played with a table of people, due to the nature of getting so many people to play, it’s probably best to try this Survivor RPG system through online databases and using similar tools. Still, it looks like a fun look that adds a bit more gameplay mechanics to the community’s ORGs!
