With a bunch of Survivor winners gathered together at Hearts of Reality, plenty of them are teasing an all-winners season with a “#40” hashtag.

The moment you stand in line hoping to be picked to compete in a future Survivor season, you are already playing the game. Anything you say in line to others can come back to haunt you, as someone in your line could also end up being cast while knowing your game plan. The same goes for once Survivor is done; everyone who’s played in the community could be a potential ally or foe in a future season.

That’s what makes charity events with Survivor players so interesting; 99% of the importance of why they’re at events like Hearts of Reality is to benefit charities such as Give Kids the World. 1% of the reason is to reconvene with the community at large, networking to know the community of hundreds that truly understand the hardships of the game while trading “war stories” or making new friendships.

As the event has wrapped up, some of the Survivor winners have been teasing something, in particular, that’s come up multiple times. On Friday night, China winner Todd Herzog posted a picture of him and Millennials vs. Gen X winner Adam Klein, indicating that all they do is win. One of the hashtags was “#40,” which separately doesn’t mean much of anything. Neither are close to being 40 years old.

Earlier today, however, Ghost Island winner Wendell Holland posted a picture of him and Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers winner Ben Driebergen, talking about how he’s been waiting some time to meet him. The description ended with, “Hope to see ya soon, bud. #40,” meaning that four former winners have provided that same hashtag.

It’s safe to say the assumption is that the former winners are trying to will some sort of all-winners season to take place in Survivor season 40. Considering the 20th season of the show, Heroes vs. Villains, was also an all-star returnee season (and the show’s greatest season, arguably), it could be more of the players feeding into the hype and getting fans excited for it, forcing CBS’ hand.

With the show casting for season 39 and 40 starting now, it could be nothing more than friends trolling fans by feeding into something that doesn’t exist. Regardless, these social media posts now could feed into storylines in a future season, which is always an exciting prospect in which to speculate!
